अंतर्जाल पर भाषा-विविधता
जन्म के साथ ही अन्तर्जाल का बचपन भी मुख्यत: अमेरिका में बीता। इससे वह पूरा का पूरा अंगरेजीमय हो गया था, पर उसके किशोरावस्था में पहुँचते ही स्थिति तेजी से बदली।
"इन्टर्नेट की स्थिति,२०००" नामक रिपोर्ट में अमेरिकी इन्टरनेट काउन्सिल (USIC) ने जो सबसे महत्वपूर्ण निष्कर्ष निकाला वह यह था कि वैश्वीकरण के दबाव के फलस्वरूप अन्तर्जाल तेजी से बहुभाषी, बहु-संस्कृति तथा बहुध्रुवीय होता जा रहा है। अगले वर्ष सन २००१ के अपने रिपोर्ट में उन्होने घोषणा की, "यह महत्वपूर्ण है कि अंतर्जाल पर अंगरेजी मातृभाषा वालों का प्रभुत्व समाप्त हो गया है और उनकी संख्या अंतर्जाल पर आनलाइन आबादी का केवल 45% ही रह गयी है।"
अंतर्जाल पर बढती भाषा विविधता का असली कारण यह है कि लोग अपनी भाषा में पढना-लिखना पसन्द करते हैं। यूनिकोड के आगमन और अंतर्जाल के मल्टीमिडिया होते स्वरूप के कारण अंतरजाल पर भाषा-विविधता को बढावा मिल रहा है। इस दिशा में मशीनी अनुवाद तथा अन्य भाषा तकनीकियों से भी काफी सहायता मिल रही है।
अंतर्जाल पर भारतीयों की संख्या भी तेजी से बढ रही है। आशा करनी चाहिये कि हिन्दी आदि भारतीय भाषायें अगले पाँच-छ: वर्षों में अंतर्जाल पर अपना सम्मानपूर्ण स्थान प्राप्त कर लेंगी।

२१वीं अनुगूँज : चुटकुलों की गूँज-3
1) एक नौजवान ने बहुत सारी कोशिशे की पर बच्चा पैदा करने में सफल नहीं हो सका। किसी ने उसे सलाह दी कि एक महात्मा हैं जो भभूत देतेे हैं, उससे तुम भी सन्टान-सुख प्राप्त कर सकते हो। वह महात्मा के पास गया। महात्मा ने उसे भभूत दी और बोले,"केवल भभूत के भरोसे मत रहना, हाथ-पैर भी चलाना।"
2) एक पुलिस वाले को एक दिन किसी लाल बत्ती इलाके में उसका अपना ही बेटा रंगे हाथों मिल गया। उसने उसको बहुत डाँटा और फिर समझाया,"तुम नहीं समझते हो कि एड्स कितनी खतरनाक बिमारी है। और अगर तुमको लग गयी तो नौकरानी को लग जायेगी; नौकरानी को लग गयी तो नौकर को पकड़ लेगी; नौकर को हो गयी तो तुम्हारी बहन को पकड़ लेगी; और अगर उसको लग गयी तो पूरे मुहल्ले में कोई न बचेगा।"
3)एक नवविवाहिता ने अपनी सहेली से कहा,"मेरी और मेरे पति की सोच बिल्कुल समान है, फिर भी पता नहीं क्यों हममे कभी नहीं पटी।
सहेली ः क्यों, तुम क्या चाहती हो और तुम्हारे पतिदेव क्या चाहते हैं?
नवविवाहिता ः मैं चाहती हूं कि मैं उनसे उपर रहूं और वे भी यही चाहते हैं कि वे मुझसे उपर रहें।
4)सैनिकों की भर्ती चल रही थी। पहले एक पंजाबी लड़के की बारी आयी। जाँच करने वाले ने कहा,"अपनी छाती दिखाओ।" लड़के ने कहा,"छाती क्या डिखाऊं, छाती तो युद्ध में डिखाऊंगा। भर्ती करने वाला इस पर बहुत खुश हुआ और उसको चुन लिया। उसके तुरन्त बाद एक बंगाली लड़के की बारी आयी। जाँच करने वाले ने कहा,"पीठ दिखाओ।" लड़के ने टपाक से कहा,"पीठ क्या दिखाऊँ, पीठ तो युद्ध में दिखाऊँगा।"

१)एक अरबी शेख भारत आया। यहाँ उसे तैराकी सीखने की तीव्र इच्छा हुई। बडे उत्साह के साथ तालाब तक आया। अति उत्साह में तालाब के किनारे उसका पैर फिसल गया और कुछ चोट भी लग गयी। इस पर गुस्सा होकर बोला,"जब तक तैरना नहीं सीख जाता, तब तक पानी में पैर नहीं डालूँगा।"
२)किसी सरदार जी ने एक छोटी लडकी से शादी की क्योंकि किसी ने बताया था कि छोटी चीज की समस्यायें भी छोटी होती हैं
३)एक सरदार जी को यह बात कभी समझ में नहीं आयी कि कैसे उनका एक ही भाई है जबकि उनकी बहन के दो भाई हैं।
४)एक सरदार जी ने सडक के किनारे केले का छिलका देखा। बोल उठे,"ओह! आज फिर गिरना पडेगा।"
५)अगले दिन उन्होने दो छिलके देखे। सोचने लगे,"इस पर गिरूँ या उस पर?"
६) और उसके अगले दिन बहुत से छिलके देखे। पत्नी को फोन करके बताया,"आज घर देर से आऊँगा।"
७)जार्ज बुश : 'असम्भव' शब्द मेरी डिक्शनरी में नहीं है
सरदार जी : तो डिक्शनरी देख के लेना चाहिये था।
८) एक बार बिजली गयी हुई थी।
सन्ता : अरे यार बन्ता, जरा पंखा चलाना ! बडी गरमी हो रही है।
बन्ता : कर दी ना सरदारों वाली बात! पंखा लगाउँगा तो मोमबत्ती बुझ ना जायेगी?
९) ग्राहक : इस शीशे की गारैन्टी क्या है?
सरदार : ९९ प्रतिशत अगर सौ फीट से नीचे फेकोगे तो निन्यानबे फीट तक कुछ नहीं होगा।

कब व्यर्थ हुआ सदुपाय भला..
दो-तीन दिन पहले एक सर्वे आया है जिसके निष्कर्ष हिन्दी, देवनागरी और अन्य भारतीय भाषाओं के लिये बहुत उत्साहजनक है।
"इन्डिया आनलाइन २००६" नामक यह सर्वे इकनामिक टाइम्स द्वारा कोई बीस हजार अन्तर्जाल प्रयोक्ताओं पर किया गया। इसके बारे मे अंगरेजी में समाचार यहाँ देख सकते हैं :

जी हाँ, १९% अन्तरजाल प्रयोक्ता हिन्दी के चिट्ठे(ब्लाग) पढ रहे हैं। यह बहुत बडी राशि है।
इस सर्वे के नतीजे अन्तरजाल पर हिन्दी के स्वर्णिम भविष्य के आने का संकेत दे रहे हैं इस सर्वे के नतीजों से ऐसा लग रहा है कि जिस प्रकार हाल में अन्य संचार माध्यमों में हिन्दी का दबदबा उभर कर सामने आया है, वही गाथा अन्तरजाल पर भी दुहरायी जायेगी। मुझे तो ऐसा लग रहा है कि यदि कम्प्यूटर पर देवनागरी के प्रयोग में आने वाली बची-खुची छोटी-मोटी समस्याओं को हल कर लिया गया(जिसके बारे में मुझे कोई शंका नहीं है) तो बहुत जल्द ही १९% का यह आंकडा ५०% पर पहुँच जायेगा। सोचिये कि ये हालत तब है जब अब भी अच्छे-खासे पढे-लिखे लोग कम्प्यूटर पर हिन्दी देखकर चौंक जाते हैं।
इससे हिन्दी और अन्य भारतीय भाषाओं के शुभचिन्तको की जिम्मेदारी और बढ गयी है। अन्तरजाल पर हिन्दी में अधिक से अधिक लोकोपयोगी सामग्री रखे जाने की जरूरत है। आइए हम सभी हिन्दी के मार्ग को प्रशस्त करें, निष्कंटक बनायें!

चुटकुलों की गूँज : २१वीं अनुगूँज
१) एक गाँव से होकर एक बारात जा रही थी। मोटा काला दूल्हा हाथी पर बैठा था। उसे देखकर गाँव के बच्चे उसके पीछे लग गये और शोर करते हुए चलने लगे। गुस्सा होकर दूल्हे ने कहा, "क्या पीछे-पीछे चले आ रहे हो , हाथी नहीं देखा है ?"
बच्चों ने कहा, "हाथी तो बहुत देखा है, लेकिन हाथी के उपर हाथी नहीं देखा। "
२) एक पहलवान की शादी हुई। सुहागरात को धीरे से बीबी के कमरे में घुसे। बीबी घूँघट काढे हुए सम्भल कर पलंग पर बैठी रही। पहलवान जी को कुछ भी नही सूझा। उन्होने पलंग का एक चक्कर लगाया, फिर दूसरा चक्कर लगाया, फिर तीसरा चक्कर लगाया, और फिर चौथा लगाया; पर कुछ भी नही हुआ।
पाँचवाँ चक्कर लगाने के बाद पहलवान जी बोले, "पंजा लडायेगी ?"
३) एक बहरे ने किसी दूसरे बहरे को कहीं से आते देख पूछा, "बाजार से आ रहे हो?"
दूसरा बहरा : नहीं, बाजार से आ रहा हूँ।
पहला बहरा : ओह ! मैने समझा बाजार से आ रहे हो।
४) एक सरदार जी अपनी पत्नी और छोटी बच्ची के साथ खरीदारी करने निकले। बच्ची ने पपीता देखकर कहा, "पापा पपीता खरीद दीजिये।" सरदार जी ने कहा, "अरे ये कोई पपीता है, ये तो पपीती है; पपीता तो अपने पंजाब में होता है।" आगे चलकर बच्ची को सन्तरा दीखा। बच्ची ने फिर कहा, "पापा सन्तरा खरीद दीजिये।" सरदार ने फिर वही दोहराया, "अरे यह कोई सन्तरा है, ये ते सन्तरी है ; सन्तरा तो अपने पंजाब में होता है।" कुछ और आगे चलने के बाद बच्ची को केला दीखा। बच्ची ने अब केला खरीदने का आग्रह किया। सरदार जी ने फिर वही रवैया अपनाया और बोले," अरे ये कोई केला है, ये तो केली है; केला तो अपने पंजाब में होता है।"
इस बार सरदार जी की पत्नी आपे से बाहर हो गयी। बोली, "चुप रह बेटी ! ये कोई पापा हैं, ये तो पापी हैं ; पापा तो अपने पंजाब में हैं "
५) एक नवविवाहिता को अंगरेजी सीखने का शौक चर्राया तो पडोस के एक मास्टर साहब से अंगरेजी सीखने लगी। मास्टर साहब ने पहले ही दिन बता दिया कि अपनी बोलचाल में अधिक से अधिक अंगरेजी का इस्तेमाल करो तो अंगरेजी जल्दी सीख जाओगी। एक दिन जब पत्नी थोडा देर से घर पहुँची तो पति ने झल्लाकर पूछ लिया, "अभी तक क्या कर रही थी?"
पत्नी ने कहा, "अरे गुस्सा क्यों होते हो? एस्से लिखने के बाद मास्टर साहब से करप्शन कराने चली गयी थी।"
६) एक गंजे ने किसी नाई से बाल कटवाया। उसने बाल कटवाने के बाद नाई से पूछा, "कितने पैसे हुए?" नाई ने बीस रूपये बताये आश्चर्य करते हुए आदमी ने कहा, "क्यों? सबसे तो पन्द्रह रूपये ही लेते हो, हमसे पाँच रूपये ज्यादा क्यों?"
नाई ने कहा, "पाँच रूपये बाल खोजने के हैं, बाकी काटने के। "
७) एक धोबी का गदहा देर रात तक चरकर घर नहीं आया तो धोबी उसको अंधेरे गाँव मे ढूढने लगा । ढूढते-ढूढते उसे एक टूटी झोपडी के अन्दर अंधेरे में कुछ सुगबुगाहट सुनाई दी। वह झोपडी के एक कोने में बैठ कर आहट लेने लगा। उस झोपडी में एक लडका किसी लडकी के साथ भिडा हुआ था।
चरमोत्कर्ष पर पहुँच कर लडके ने पूछा, "कैसा लग रहा है?"
लडकी बोली, "तीनो लोक दिखाई पड रहे हैं।"
धोबी चौंककर बोला, "जरा देखना मेरा गदहा कहाँ है?"
